Started in 2017, ELMS through its different initiatives such as Project Chhalaang and High Performance has been working towards the idea of Sports for Development and Sports for Excellence over the past 8 years.

Role:
As the Head of Branding, Marketing and Communications for ELMS Sports Foundation, you will be at the forefront of driving our non-profit organization’s mission of empowering underprivileged communities through sports and education. This leadership role demands a strategic thinker who excels in building brands for social initiatives, build compelling narratives for social media engagement and has experience in using communication for effective brand building for the organization overall.
Responsibilities:
- Brand Strategy and Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies to enhance awareness and recognition of the organization.
- Ensure brand consistency across all communications and marketing channels.
- Manage brand assets, including logos, color schemes, and brand guidelines.
- Marketing:
- Plan, execute, and optimize marketing campaigns that align with organizational goals and priorities.
- Utilize various channels (digital, social media, print, events, etc.) to maximize campaign reach and impact.
- Digital and Social Media Management:
- Oversee the organization’s digital presence, including website content, social media platforms, and email marketing campaigns.
- Create compelling content that engages stakeholders and promotes our mission effectively.
- Stay updated on digital marketing trends and best practices to drive growth and engagement.
- Manage the partnership with the digital marketing and branding agency to optimise the social media and communication efforts of the organization.
- Internal Communications:
- Ensure effective internal communication strategies to keep staff and volunteers informed and engaged.
- Develop internal newsletters, announcements, and other communications materials.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Collaborate closely with other departments to support their communication and marketing needs.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff and volunteers involved in marketing and communications activities.
Act as one of the key spokespersons for ELMS and its different initiatives in various forums, advocating for the organization’s mission and building its profile.
Desired Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree or other professional skill development certifications will be preferred.
- Experience: Over 8 years in non-profit sector, with 4+ years in leadership roles specifically in branding and communications.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and techniques, including SEO, SEM, and social media analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for different audiences.
